A career built on golf
My name is Gregg Sommerville. I've been working in the golf industry for over 20 years — I have developed the simple philosophy that the golf ball never lies!
My approach is built around ball flight first. By analysing what the ball is doing and understanding the impact conditions that created it, we can identify the changes that will produce real improvements on the golf course. Rather than chasing a textbook swing, I help golfers develop movements that create more consistent, predictable, and effective ball flights.
Alongside my coaching business, I am the founder of Junior Golf Scotland, one of the country's leading junior golf development programmes. What started as a small initiative to help more young people access golf has grown into a thriving community that introduces children and teenagers to the game in a fun, supportive, and affordable environment.
From the young to the old, the beginners, the experts and everyone inbetween, my goal is to help your golf ball fly better and give you a better understanding of what you can improve and how.

Why I coach the way I do
My coaching philosophy is built around the principle that performance is measured by ball behaviour, not by how a swing looks.
Understand what the ball is doing and why. Rather than chasing positions, we chase results — start line, curvature, strike, trajectory.
Random practice, shot shaping, pressure simulations and decision-making. The goal is to transfer your range game to the course where it matters.
You leave every session knowing what produced that ball flight and how to adjust it. Independent players, not coach-dependent ones.
